Has anyone considered that there may be an actual matter of supply and demand involved?
I recommend the documentary "The End Of Suburbia". I found it very informative.
If the information the the documentary was factual, North American oil production was predicted to peak in the early 70's by a guy in the oil industry that everyone ignored until hindsight revealed that he had actually been right on the money.
Of course folks were laughing at him during the early 70's because the North American oil production in those years was an all time high. What they forgot was that the output of oil works like a bell curve - a little at first, then as time passes it increases until it reaches an all time high (peaks) and then begins to decrease.
The same guy predicted that worldwide oil production should peak in the late 90's...
If they have their facts right, the growth of the American economy is dependent on the cheap, plentiful oil we have grown accustomed to, and that our current level of energy consumption is not sustainable.
Time will tell...

When a statute, code, or court holding changes tomorrow, does reality change? Does truth change? Does right and wrong change?
If so, there are no absolutes, and the only logical conclusion is that reality, truth, and right and wrong are determined arbitrarily on a daily basis by those with the most power, guns, and money, and the rest of us can choose to run, fight, or be their slaves.
