Re:non assumpsit?
I've never heard of this, but it has certainly got me thinking.& Basically, by doing this, it seems you are giving notice to the court that you are refusing to become liable, or undertaking to pay or promise to pay this debt that the officer is creating by issuing the ticket,&by way of attempting to&create funds in the form of the negotiable instrument, that is, the ticket itself.& However, I would be wary to use this when transacting with the judge, b/c the word assumpsit is not simple by any means.& Unless you could well articulate yourself by use of this word, you may be digging a hole for yourself.& This theory does seem promising for anyone who wants to follow up with this.
Oh, but I would still write "all rights reserved" or some sort in addition to use of "non assumpsit" if I were to do so.
