passport w/o SS #
dave b,
Welcome to the forum.
First things first....I am not sure if you have done this or not but educating your daughter on these matters is vital.
She can be dooped later in life by an agent and made to think that her parents didn't do what was right by getting her a Social Security number. If she is prepare and educated on personal freedom--that would be great. Also, with your permission of course, allow her to interact on this site with others so she may learn of the struglles that folks face because of the SSN and this will enable her to understand even more.
As for your situation, it is not necessary to have a SSN to get a passport. Read the application carefully and scrutinize what they are saying. You will find duress and extortion at the very least. If you go to the links section of this site, click on famliy guardian and they have a plethora of information on this subject and if you go to state.gov and read up on passports that can be an eye opener as well.
hope this helps
