traffic ticket question
I wanna use the approach outlined in ticketslayer, I'm very new to this and I've never done this before. I'm in California btw. I'm extending all my tickets to win as much possible time as I can, my question is, do I try this procedure to have it ready by arraignment or do I do it to have it ready by the trial? If it's by the trial date, then I'm thinking of doing a trial by written declartion to try my chances at winning by default (cop doesn't respond), and then if the cop does, then appealing for a new trial (trial de novo). Can someone please advise me? Thanks.

By the way, This is for a variety of traffic tickets, speeding over 65, basic speed law violation, unsafe lane change, failure to stop at stop sign

Thanks for insulting me when I'm trying to ask a decent question.

You said it, go by trial date if the cop doesn't respond by default; automatically the case will be dismissed. If the cop show up then you can request for a new trial.

Bad move... never ask the court permission for anything, it gives them jurisdiction. Read the link that Im Huami provided. It explains why.

If you have time to get the default, without asking for an extension, do it.

That's basicly what the TS docs do, only you don't "have" to send one to the cop (but it doesn't hurt your case to)

If for some reason the court pushes on, and the officer is present, just use Marc Stevens' technique and put him on the stand. Set him up nicely "how many years have you been an officer", "how long did you go to school", blah blah and then read him the statute he alledges you violated in the form of a question ! The PA and/or the judge (or both) will jump up and object saying "witness is not competent to make a legal determination !" They will impeach their own witness for you ! If he's not competent in court, he's not competent on the street either.
Hope this helps...
For HIS Glory,
Akira

Well I've already extended my court cases :( Is there any point on still trying the TS doc's?

Also, I extended them by using a form which automatically does it online, does that still count?
