Paying A Citation
I recieved a citation stating, that i have to pay 320 dollars for a suspended DL ... The "event" took place in OHIO.. The statue states that if i dont pay it, your dl can be supsended , not eligible for renew, or ineligiable for application for an ohio dl.. The thing is, i dont reside in OHIo and would never desire one. They didnt say your license will be put into the national system and your license can be revoked, it simply stated ohio in the letter, no reference to other states. What is the worst case scenario if i dishonor the Ohio citation, if i live in indiana, Will they just place a judgement on my credit report?

is your home-state DL suspended by the home-state?
how did the Ohio army learn of the suspension?
when you were stopped by the army, were you actually engaged in commerce at that moment?
were you chauffering passengers in a commercial vehicle at that exact moment?
Members: heh, this is truly becoming ridiculous!
oh well
one day everyone will understand.

So we have to assume you were driving in Ohio with a suspended Indiana driver's license, right?
It won't hit your credit report, but if you don't respond, eventually a warrant will be issued by an Ohio court for your arrest for failure to appear.
So unless you get pulled over again in Ohio, the only thing you have to worry about is getting pulled over in Indiana and still having a suspended license. If and when that happens, the Ohio warrant might show up as well. I suspect at that point, the situation will be handled a bit differently. Instead of sending you off with another ticket, you may find yourself on foot and your vehicle impounded.
Then again, if you're a repeat offender in Indiana (which is probably why your license is suspended), they may decide to take you into custody.

travel in commerce
no, i got it suspended in indiana, for failure to pay a ticket. then when citation in ohio, got pullled into custody, fingerprinted, and they impounded my car. i got out that same day, and got my car out of impound.
When you say if you continue to stay in dishonor and then make the problem worse by not paying ohio, they will issue a "warrant" out for me. do you mean they will put it in the database and if im pulled over again. they will charge me with "failure to appear".. When you say warrant you dont mean, come to your house. you mean a driving warrant, so in the case your pulled over again theyll just add more charges and impound your car again? Listen people, i know your saying, why did you travel in commerce, but this was before i came to this forum and met so many intelligent people on here

Most of the time, yes. There are instances where somebody gets a bug up their ass over the number of outstanding warrants and all the "lost" revenue tied up, so they make a big scene (usually in the company of local news media) and run a sweep where they can round up some number of the worst violators.

FYI - they won't care a whit about commerce - that's one of the dumbest arguments to ever come along.

Yes you can.
A owes B $10.
B owes C $10.
B says to C "I will assign to you my rights in the debt that A owes to me as payment of my debt to you."
C says ok.
A nows owes C the $10 and has to pay C instead of paying B.
If A does not pay C, C can pursue A in court. C has no cause to come after B.
So yes, I can discharge one debt with another debt.
Happens all the time.
