Are photo ID's a violation of YHWH's commandments?

Deuteronomy 4:16 Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female...

My DL expires in less than a month and I think I will be taking the big step and not have it re-issued. I haven't driven in the past few years anyways, so I can definately get by without it. No savings/checking accounts either, so no problem there.

The areas I might run into trouble are: Travel by Air/Bus/Train, Entrance into Bars/Clubs/etc., the police and other 'authorities', video stores (movie rentals), doctors office/hospitals, hotels, SeaWorld (ever see Alex Jones' "Biometric SeaWorld" video?), and others which I can't think of right now.

Is it reasonable to assume that a photo ID is a(n) (en)graven image, which YHWH commanded not to create? What about photographs and drawings in-general? Maybe this is why no one knows what Jesus really looked like. I wonder if the state/courts would agree with that position, or force you to disobey God (we all know the answer, but it's worth a try)?

If the word of God is the law, why are we on here trying to 'outsmart' the courts using their own fraudulent laws instead of relying only on God's word? Or is it that in the USA our laws are supposed to be in-line with God's laws, so it would be acceptable? I figure since the laws here are so %$#*@& now, that they are not aligned with God's laws anymore and we should go right back to the original source. Plus, doesn't the Bible teach us:

(12:11) And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: (12:12) For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

Photo ID's in and of themselves arent a problem so long as you dont raise them above God. Though its possible Drivers Licenses may be interpreted as such because you are asking permission to a superior lord to drive by getting one. Since a man may not worship two lords, this would violate God's commandments

I agree with Raptor. Photo IDs are not in themselves a "graven image." It is how they are used. Are they being worshipped and placed before YHWH? This is the key. Just because you have a driver license with the strawman's picture does not mean you worship the state in which it was issued. I use a commercial driver license and do so because I sometimes drive for hire. That is a Constitutional use for it. I do not look at the picture and worship it, nor do I worship the State of Florida.

Put things into context the way YHWH has intended it. One of the problems we all have if we are not careful is we tend to look at things through our own eyes and not seeing things with a godly perspective in mind. It is allowing the Holy Spirit to teach us the meaning with which YHWH intended. It is being careful not to take YHWH's meaning and put one's own into it.
