You even have the right to engage in private commerce in your vehicle. That is when your property has not been dedicated to public use then you have a right to do with it as you please. For instance if I called you up and wanted a ride and said I would pay you $20 for the ride, then that is fine and no license is needed. Even if you have a license you would not be using it for that trip. If you were a cabby and held your propperty out for the publics use then that is another story. Since you are still an individual man they may charge your car/vesal as a person. That even may be appropriate since the public has an intrest in the things held out for their use.

Did the Supreme Court actually make reference to monarchies, esp ancient ones, when it upheld police and public safety concerns for requiring DLs, registration and insurance??? Which decision(s)?

I was contemplating the people I know of who are having success in this endevor last night.

From my prespective, for what ever its worth:

In addition to the termination of the licence and registration, the Cancellature of Foreign Instruments & the default judgement on this, Expatriation from the US1, and the jury's ruling on the Sovereignty Finding of Fact, they have been doing a few other things as well.

Keep in mind this all works together, and the paperwork builds upon it self.

One of the other things they do is provide a way for the car to be identified, (the purpose of the licence plate), and the means for the car to be traced to them.

The SCOPE/NCIC is a powerful tool.

While what many loosly call 'sovereign plates' may look like some home made deal (and a few fools who don't bother to comprehend the whole process have acted preematurly and caused them selves a lot of problems), the number being used is in reality, traceable to all the paperwork and the particular human being so that, say for example, someone does have an accident, and runs away, there is a way to find them and bring them before a proper court, (as opposed to an administrative hearing), so that the victum of the accident can recover damages.

The idea that you must get a licence & registration thus subjecting your self to administrative hearings is bull****, but so it the idea that providing people the means to avoid being accountable for their action in the event of an accident, or crime.

The reality is, that if you arn't going to go with the DMV package deal, their are viable alternatives.

A viable alternative is not simply removing the plates from the car after you send some paperwork to the DMV and arguing with the local policy officer about the fact that you have a right to travel if you get pulled over and don't have your papers in order.

The King does not have a common law right to regulate my breathing unless I do something that affects the public interest like commit murder. SCOTUS hears the cases it wants to hear, until they hear and accept the auto as the ordinary and usual conveyence of the day the King will continue regulating it.
