Cancelling the DMV's issue.

The word "issue" is really the explanation of the whole matter.

Look up "issue" in Black's. You will see that "issue" and "descendants" or "offspring" are synonymous.

Now, who "issues" DRIVER LICENSE's? SSN? Birth Certificate?

Those documents belong to them. Period. Stop claiming ownership (i.e. "Hey, that's mine") NOT!

I have had the pleasure to meet up with a "state" trooper since I have done this, and I was not arrested or jailed. He handed me a "ticket" for "driving without a license" made out to the STRAWMAN, which I abated for misnomer, and for other very good reasons which I will not discuss here openly. It was actually the most pleasant traffic stop I have ever experienced.

I was told by a friend, that in every code or statute, there is a provision for cancelling the DL.

I found it here, and did it. I searched for the word "cancel."

N.C.G.S. 20-4.01(2) Canceled. – As applied to drivers' licenses and permits, a declaration that a license or permit which was issued through error or fraud is void and terminated.

I would think that, with the enforcement of the RealID (coming to a BMV/DMV near you) scheduled for May of 2008, a lot of people might want to make use of your doc.

As a matter of fact, a neat template of such stapled to a warning letter (in regards the RealID and the following 'chip') would make a great hand out.

Mr. Russo's film, F2F could even be mentioned somewhere in the body of the letter as a "must see".

It could be an alarm clock for some of the "sleepers" out there.

Once again, thank you, HB.
