What aspect would you like to debate?

Whether you were driving or operating a vehicle?

Why do you think blue gun thugs ask you "how long have you been driving" when they pull you over for a traffic stop?

No, whether using the term "driving" to describe your own conduct when moving or the "person" means anything to the modern code. I can show history where it was important to not be a person. But none the definition of person includes natural person. The code has had to keep the two exised from eachother though. When person meant only corporations then all persons needed licenses. Now the persons means everyone they need "all person driving a motor vehicle" to mean something else so they have the following law which does not redefine person.
Quote:
21052. The provisions of this code applicable to the drivers of vehicles upon the highways apply to the drivers of all vehicles while engaged in the course of employment by this State, any political
subdivision thereof, any municipal corporation, or any district, including authorized emergency vehicles subject to those exemptions granted such authorized emergency vehicles in this code.

I was expecting JBR or Shoonra... but Powder provides much better stimuli. I will take on the side that I am a "PERSON" and that I was "DRIVING." And anyone that is all hung up on those terms just tell me how they are going to get me for using them. If you want. You did not seem to serious about debate in your response.

So I do not know why those cops ask you that Powder. They do not ask me the same. Further, my point is that it does not matter if I was driving.

The term drive has the same meaning in both instances.

1) To increase the speed or give propultion.

You drive golf balls and vehicles.

Also I would like to add that the state employees are exempt from the "opperator" laws. They are just not exempt from "driver" laws. See driver laws are more important generally in the view of public safty, whereas opperator laws are more administrative and revenue.

Gneral Applicability of CVC Laws

Quote:
The provisions of the Vehicle Code applicable to drivers upon the highways are applicable generally to public officers and employers engaged in driving vehicles in the course of their employment (Vehicle Code sec. 453).
17 Ops.Cal.A.G. 121, 121, 51-32 (1951).

The laws GENERALLY apply to officers and empoyees engaged...

Look up the word engaged. It is a good one too.

Thank you Cal. Attorney general for making it more clear.
