Hello everyone!

I have been searching the web endlessly for some answers and you here seem to be the most informed group.

The whole topic is very confusing to me and I am hoping that you can be of some assistance.

I realize that being honest with you about my motives, may be counter-productive, however, it’s the only way I know how to be.

I have a very close friend who is currently in prison and the UCC Redemption process is being thrown around from inmate to inmate looking for a quick fix. My friend is not interested in any of the scams or improper uses, he is interested in finding out a new way to live his life.

He is a non-violent person...he’s incarcerated for driving under the influence. They chose to incarcerate him instead of getting him some help, as it is not in the best interest of the system to have him cured. He has not injured anyone, nor has he ever had an accident. I am not justifying his actions, I am trying to tell you that he is not a dangerous person and is not someone who should be in prison.

His main motives in pursuing his sovereignty are to take control back of his life and clear his records. He has heard that there is also a way to use the process to eliminate a prison sentence.

It is very frustrating, because he has been threatened by the CO’s several times to not talk to anyone about the UCC filing and has been threatened not to even try to become sovereign. He has been threatened with loss of privileges and even being put in “the hole” for 30 days, for just having a conversation.

We were prepared to do this the hard way and to do the research ourselves, I have ordered many books and CD’s from the America’s Bulletin website. But just yesterday, the rumor mill started that after January 1st prisoners will no longer be able to file UCC papers.

So, we are now under a time crunch and I am turning to you in hopes of a couple of basic answers:

In following the UCC/Redemption/Sovereignty process, is it possible to clear your public records?

Is it possible to truly live a sovereign life?

Is it possible to become sovereign and then eliminate a current prison sentence?


I have many, many more questions, but before we proceed any further, I need to make sure that we are doing this all correctly, for the right reasons, with a reasonable expectation of the outcome.


Also, could you please put to rest a rumor that is spreading like wild-fire? It is rumored that for a fee there are various people, like Attorney Geoffrey Fieger in Michigan, who will do the filings and paperwork and have gotten men “released from prison in two months”.

I also have to tell you, in the interest of honesty, that I am a skeptic. I need proof before I am able to believe in what I have been reading and through weeks of searching, I am not able to find any proof.

I am also a bit scared with the conviction of Mr. Buhtz...does this mean there is no validity to ANY of it?

Can you please help me make some sort of sense from all of this and possibly direct me where to go?

Most any attorney anywhere will take on post-conviction cases for a convict "for a fee". Whether anyone can spring a convict in less than two months - or ever - depends on something other than the attorney.

The Redemption scam has put people into prison, not taken them out. There is no quick fix but there are plenty of crooks willing to take real money in return for phony advice.

I guess what I was hoping for was a simple yes or no and I have not found anyone who can give me that.

Let me explain a little more.

This friend of mine is obsessed, I am not.

I have spent the last several hours of today reading and dissecting information, and while I am well educated, with a high IQ, this is an impossible amount of information to digest in the amount of time I have.

My friend is a "quick fix" kind of guy and I believe he thinks this is his "get out of jail free card".

I am finding that there have been MANY cases where inmates have used this illegally and filed liens against wardens, co's, etc. and I believe that is why he is not allowed to have this info "inside"

What I really, really need from you all, is something concrete to show him that this is borderline illegal, if not completely illegal.

That there is no treasury account with his name on it with millions of dollars in it just waiting for him to collect.

That filing his UCC1 will not get him out of prison.

That even if he claims sovereignty, he can't sue the prosecutor for $1.6 million a day for each day they keep him.

That he can't sue everyone who uses his name for $500,000

And finally, that this will not wipe his record clean and get him an international drivers license and passport.

I know I am a stranger, I know that I am ignorant about all that you know, I know that you don't have to help me...but I am asking "please?"

He's gone off the deep end...I have read to him about how the "founders" of this process are in prison and can't get themselves out. I have read postings and web pages. He refuses to believe it, saying that it's all government propaganda to keep people from following this process. I read right from the treasury website where it said this was all illegal.

Instead of listening to that info, he has actuallly asked me to write to a convicted pedophile to "pick his brain"!!! I, of course, refused! He believes that this man is at the step that will get him released. He said that this pedophile has made a claim for $10,000 against the county that convicted him and had it paid to his mother? Does any of that make sense?? And the logic is that the county can't pay it so they will make a deal to release him instead??? I don't know about you...but I don't want pedophiles released from prison early.

Is there anything more concrete that you can share with me to help him stop this madness??

All of these stunts have been tried in courts and all have been rejected, and in many instances the persons trying these stunts ended up being punished for them.

If you bother to skim through the past threads on this website you will find several of these discussed, wtih legal citations.

You cannot live your friend's life for him.

From what you are saying there does not seem to be a lot you can do for him right now as far as getting him off of what he is on.

UCC is NOT a quick fix, and is probably more of a STUDY than an application.

The learning curve on so called "commercial redemption" is at least five years, and then what you have is a fairly valuable knowledge base, but, perhaps, not much remedy.

If your friend wants to use UCC he needs to realize that it will take a lot of time and patience to learn everything and then one becomes a human guinea pig and tests everything on oneself to see if it "works."

As far as becoming "sovereign" goes, do you or he even know what that means?

If you want to educate yourself, start with Marc Steven's Adventures in Legal Land.

You need to get a Black's Dictionary 5th Edition, and if you can afford it a 4th, 6th, and an 8th, but definitely a 5th.

There is a Bouvier's Law Dictionary on line, google for it.

Michael Badnarik's seven hour Constitution course is excellent and you can find it here

That might be the very first thing you might want to do.

(Make sure you view it in order: part 1, then part 2, etc., sometimes if there is a list of files it is out of sequence; it is well worth downloading to your computer if possible.)

You might try to get your friend to study this course also, if he has access to internet.

Read the Constitution, a lot.

A good start for learning about so called commercial redemption might be found here.

A copy of the Red Amenment is a good investment.

Jurisdictionary is good also.

If you are new to all this it can be overwhelming.

You do not want to overwhelm yourself.

Myself, I would get an older copy of the Constitution (one with all the original capitalized words intact) and use it while studying the Michael Badnarik Constitution course pretty carefully.

For myself, that would be the very first thing to do.

Then, again, myself, I would go here, and get a copy of Adventures In Legal Land, read it ASAP, and study what all is on the site.

You've come to the right place on the beginning of a long journey. There are some quick fixes but I haven't yet seen that with the process fo becoming sovereign. Here you will get mixed answers ranging in opinion on all of the redemption methods. It is up to everyone to find out for themselves as some have success and some have failures and others have failures on their way to success.
You will have to unlearn decades upon decades of being conditioned/social engineered. There are many definitions to words that are different than what we have been used to.

In regards to your questions, here are my answers. They are not definite, just based on my experience and or knowledge;

I am not able to find any proof. Being skeptical is normal and actually a good thing. Many ask for "proof"
as even I have. In some cases someone might provide proof but that was how they applied a method to their particular circumstance. Proof will also come as your knowledge increases.

I am also a bit scared with the conviction of Mr. Buhtz...does this mean there is no validity to ANY of it? Absolutely not! We don't know all of his exact methods and all of the circumstances. He is also being especially picked on because he has been a type of leader and his case is "high profile". We will also have to wait and see what happens with his sentencing hearing. I believe it will be in December.

For your particular situation I would look in to finding out how much his case is worth. There is a dollar amount that they are making off of your friend being locked up. Somehow there is a way to submit a type of bond that could get him released.
You could also look in to showing his judgement is void as most likley the judge doesn't have on file an oath of office and bond.

Sam Kennedy has an informative show that is archived but I don't know which show date to begin listening regarding prison releases.
