It is very bad. It is a wise decision to stay completely away from the guy using the alias "Sam Kennedy". He used to conduct meetings years ago around the Albany area using his real name.

Every state has a website where you can search UCC filings. Depending on the state, it may or may not need to be filed with the county and the state to be valid. You can call the secretary of state and ask if your state is dual filing.

We should all be demanding proof of success and experience from anyone charging FRNs for seminars and holding themselves out as experts.

Why should anyone follow them in blind faith the same way most of us followed the government in blind faith until we learned better? Bunch of friggin' sheep. Changing what one is a sheep to does not change the fact one is still a friggin' sheep.

If these guys know so much, what is the problem with them monetizing bonded promissory notes for people to pay them? They could ask them to make it out for whatever amount it needs to be for to make it worth their while to monetize it. Why not have one person make out a bonded promissory note for $100,000 and allow 200 people into the seminar?

If they are also charging people to do paperwork, then why don't they offer a money back guarantee if they know what they are doing? $1500 for an "experimental new BIC process"?!! Am I the only human this raises any red flags with?

Any coward can hide behind a disclaimer. If they stand in truth, why are they on the radio hiding behind fake names and lying about what they do for a living? Telling people to go file UCC-1 when they don't do it themselves.

The worst part of all of this is Republic Broadcasting knows the truth and they don't care. They keep him on the air. Birds of a feather flock together.

People looking for solutions are ripe feeding grounds for scam artists.

Question me, too. I will point out though, I am not asking you for FRNs. I am not pretending to be an expert at anything (well, maybe rollerblading. I'm pretty good at that. I'm a pretty fast typist, too.)

I personally have been fortunate enough to have known multiple other humans misfortunate enough to have spent thousands of FRNs with "Sam Kennedy" only to go to jail or lose their home.

I have never sought answers from him, paid him a single FRN, nor will I ever. All I ever do is question the lies he spews, which are constantly repeated by his loyal sheep followers.

I'm done with bothering to try to explain this. They've been warned. They can proceed at their own risk.

Call me a plant or whatever names you like. Actually calling me a plant is probably a compliment if it means I'm questioning things and not throwing FRNs at 'experts' so I can follow them in blind faith.

Pay attention to your gut. If it tells you there is something off about what someone is saying, then there probably is. Hindsight is 20/20.

I had attended free seminars (1999) at a State University and periodically guests would come in and offer paid services, one group was quite large, "Right Way L.A.W." but if you Google them now you will only find a crushed rebellion and no real answer to where they are or what happened, mostly smears like this one http://www.adl.org/Learn/ext_us/SCM....cked=4&item=20 which lend nothing to helping discouraged people find a light on a dark path.
Trust yourself, study,learn, but if asked for money that whole set yourself on fire and run comment seems sound.

"Madeline" is right. QUESTION EVERYTHING. VERIFY, VERIFY, VERIFY. And the best way to do that, is learning how the "operation" is set up. Use Practice Guides, review the legislative histories and debates leading up to enactments. Go to the beginning and work your way up. I have found that if you do your homework, you'll be able to easily discern fraudulence/ignorance in talk.

The great thing about dealing with people doing business as government is that they have definable guidelines. Notwithstanding whether or not they follow them or not, of course.

But, in retort to "ezyrhthm." I think you give off a mixed message. The UCC is for just that. I.e. Recording a notice of interest. These filings are done with, among other things, a security "agreement." So if one were to file a UCC-1 Financing Statement, it "would" be with a "consenting" debtor who grants a security interest in, for example, accounts receivables, proceeds, equipment, etc., to perfect the security interest. This is done much like being done in a county recorder.

Although you are correct by implication that "consent" is not needed to file a lien, "freebeme" was also correct because a lien can be obtained with consent. Furthermore, it is a stronger position in perfection of one's claim(s) to have an "assigned" interest, because a "Notice of Default and Cure," (sic) as you call it, is actually a weaker position (in comparison, although doable), because it leaves it open for greater scrutiny and challenge. It mustn't be forgotten that law always provides a remedy or it is no law, rendering the act(s) invalid. FYI, the "Notice of Default and Cure" (sic) is called a "Certificate of Protest" (when you are the creditor seeking payment on an instrument). The Notice of Default and Cure is a strategy that developed to mimic the Certificate of Protest as it was realized that the Notary has the same effectiveness as a Clerk of the Court and could be utilized in function as having a "state/public officer" as witness, thereby presenting a stronger and more credible witness on behalf of the utilizer of this method.

As we expand our knowledge base, we must resist the temptation to develop the "god complex" and start denigrating others. This forum was intended to "help" others. Not bash them over the head. Your own statements helps support the need for humility and understanding, as we all try to unravel this mess we're in. No one knows it all, even though some of us know more than the average, and even still, more than that.
