<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3>How many times can a credit card company sell or assign your alleged debt to a third party collector?<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">& </SPAN>I have credit card companies that have assigned or sold my alleged debt up to four different third party collectors.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">& </SPAN>Each collection company receives a VOD package with a CPN under HJR 192.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">& </SPAN>At that point some collection companies leave me alone, some have written a letter stating that they are turning the alleged debt back to the original creditor,<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">& </SPAN>and some I do not hear from for a couple of months and then they will send a settlement offer.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">& </SPAN>My personal thought on the last is that I do not need to respond to a settlement offer in the fact that I have already tendered payment and I am certainly not going to argue the fact with them.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">& </SPAN>From reading a post by Jerseee I can ask for the good faith payment back and put them into dishonor, but do I need to do that, or can I let it be?</FONT>
