Getting a Notary to co-operate

I've been studying Redemption for a while but I've had no need/opportunity to use it practically. It is my understanding the most Notaries have no idea of their obligation to do protests.

Have any of you found it difficult to get them to do their duty?

What methods are required to get a dissenting Notary in line?

What would be the best way to educate a Notary (whether uncooperative or just ignorant)?

seizeliberty,

While I can't speak to getting a Notary in line, I would suggest that perhaps you and some friends become Notaries yourselves(actually your strawman gets the License).I myself and some friends have done this and it makes it a LOT easier to get things filed. If you have a commonlaw court set up as we do here in Minnesocold, you can even get someone to become a Protho-Notary on the commonlaw side. The SOS of our state recognizes the documents we file using such a Notary.

necks out to save their own arse, let alone someone elses. LT2DOGS

Yeah, that is something I have thought about doing myself. Unfortunately for me I have no friends in my area that understand any of this or even want to.

Hey, do you know Doug Leiter?

Never heard of a Protho-Notary. Can you tell me more about this, please?

It is my understanding that a Notary only verifies that you personally signed the document. They have nothing to do with the content of the document. They are witnessing the signing of it.

Is this not the case?

Sadie, Yes a Notary does witness the signing and not the content, and he can also witness dishonors of presentments as in trying to file doc's and being refused, or the dishonor of a presented negotiable instrument.

Seizeliberty, Yes, I know who Doug is and have spoekn to him on a number of occasions, though I cannot say for certain that he would recognize my name. He would however remember my face as I was in attendance at virtually all of the commonlawvenue meetings for about a year. Doug hasn't been active with CLV lately. I believe that he has started something relating to helping people lon a one to one basis learn about the commercial aspects of the law, but I am not certain. He was/is quite passionate about his sovereignty and his talks and presentations at the CLV meetings are a good part of the reason I came to become a part of this movement. As far as the Protho-Notary, I don't have very much info on that, though a close friend is one and I will ask him about it at the next availible opportunity. LT2DOGS

People seem to have a misunderstanding of protests and it will eventually backfire on them and the notary they misuse. I strongly urge people to read the following post:

here

You're more likely to find a notary familiar with protests at a larger bank or financial institution than most other places.

Sorry, the link doesn't work.

I was referring to the thread entitled Notarial Protest - a repost from TSN in the Banks, Collectors and CRAs section.
