As to the redemption process generally, I would suggest that anyone contemplating using it should spend a minimum of two years of hard study before doing anything. Sorry, but that's my firm opinion.
There is a lot of truth in the various approaches, depending on where your learning it from. Personally, the most sensible stuff I've seen is Sam Kennedy's stuff, but it is not for the faint of heart, and is not really redemption stuff per se. It requires intense concentration and study, and must be mastered completely, which could/should be said of any endeavor of this magnitude, I suppose. Another firm opinion I have on this subject is that nobody, and I mean NOBODY, can do this stuff for you, period. It just won't work. Knowing who you are is key, really knowing and believing. Just knowing that you are not the ALL CAPS guy is a start, but it is not nearly enough.
Marc Stevens book "Adventures in Legal Land" is a great primer for both newbies and veterans alike, and I highly recommend it to anyone. Another cool site I recently ran across is freedom-flag-fellowship.org. People that jump head first into these processes end up not only getting devoured themselves, but they destroy the whole idea/process for others, by setting bad precedents along the way.
What do you know, another opinion just popped into my head.....(I'm very opinionated today) Winston Shrout, Roger Elvick, and those types will NEVER, EVER, give you the whole story, so don't waste your money. Don't know why this is, these opinions still under construction. They give a lot of truthful, and sometimes useful information, but never the whole picture. I know, I've watched these guys for years. You could have 99% of the puzzle, but it's that missing 1% that could land you in jail, or cause the loss of property.
I'm not usually so negative sounding, but I take this stuff very seriously, and have seen too many good people get crushed. One last piece of advice, read Georger Mercier's "Invisible Contracts"! And then read it again....and again.

I have drafted remedy for many folks who came from the UCC/Redemption camp. The main danger, from what little I know about it is that theory looks great - especially the more you look at it theoretically. So I have always asked for a transcript of these attorneys in black robes returning the note or warranty deed to the homeowner etc...
Never happens. However the person asking me to believe in the process is totally convinced and has bought into it hook, line and sinker. And is usually within one or two degrees of hearsay of somebody in Texas who was in the courtroom where the judge said that.
Unidroit (Vatican City) is the owner of the UCC from what I hear. And that makes some sense as to why the sister Esquires (City of London) will jump in and out according always to public policy. There are no wins even though the theories are wonderful.

David Merrill.

Unfortunately, the UCC/Redemption subject is always addressed as "the process" as if it were a clear cut A-Z program, whuch it is not. This remark is not directed to you, David. That said, I am not an advocate of any 1 specific "process" myself. I will say this though, I have studied the ideas and writings of the early gurus such as Rice McLeod, Howard Freeman, Howard Griswold, Roger Elvick, and many others, and it really helped me to realize just who "I" am, AND, who I am not, and for this, I am very greatful to these teachers/pioneers. Although, there are times I have thought that Elvick may be from another planet. So, in other words, if there is anything to be learned from the redemption teachings it is this; "you" are not the STRAWMAN.
I have seen much misinformation and misapplication about using the UCC, and all I would recommend here is that one study and understand the UCC and why it is so important.
Are you going to walk into a court spouting redemption ideas/theories and walk out victorious every time? Of course not, there are far too many variables to consider, and this is true of any given process". I will tell you this though, the concepts those teachers gave me, which I eventually came to own, have helped me tremendously, and have shut down many cops, judges and attorneys alike. Is there always (ever?) going to be paperwork to prove such statements? Of course not. I have spent thousands (literally) on transcripts of proceedings in the past, and in nearly every instance, the transcript was doctored before I received it. I stopped going to court.
I believe that learning about redemption is very important, but it is only the beginning. There are many fundamental concepts involved. In my last post, I recommended many other sources of learning that I believe everyone should check out, before leaping into anything. I will add one here that I forgot to mention, Clyde Edward Powell's dvd's. These are packed with excellent information. I could post a few of his articles if someone would walk me through that procedure.
