Collecting your Debts
I think a post about collecting from our Debtors is in order. I would like to see the following topics discussed:

I think the community could be helped by topics on this subject.

Locating Assets:
A great site I have found for locating home addresses & such of a debtor:
http://www.skipease.com/
Once you locate some addresses, you can go to their county website and check if they are the owner of that residence. If not, you can generally search by name at the county website to see if they own any property in that county. To locate online public records for their county, you can use the 'Public Record Locator' search tool here:

I used the methods described above to find several million in real estate assets for several of my debtors.
Next steps: Invoice, Default, & file UCC FS.
Then, moving on to collection! I would like to see more discussion on this please.

Re:Collecting your Debts
I would recommend that after invoicing and default (non-payment) the True Bill be utilized.& The True Bill can then be used as admissions for a court action.& Filing a court action allows you to take advantage of rule 64 of the FRoCP to file lien (good for 99 years).& This is&weightier than "public notice" of the debt via the FS.

Re:Collecting your Debts
And when filing the True Bill, is it fine to proceed with the UCC FS on state/county level as well? Particuarly if it appears the debtor is in the process of selling? In that case, it seems to me it would be good to file the FS to keep them from disposing of the property before you can get a lien.
And when filing the court action to take advantage of rule 64, would this be done in your local federal district court?
Would you recommend the True Bill process you talk about if one is not experienced in court?
