What "Police?"

Those in uniform were armed military soldiers.

They for sure were neither civil-ians, nor civil, or even civilized.

"Barbaric" comes to mind, and barbaric is not civilized, as far as I know.

The bully the uniforms were backing up was an armed paramilitary thug.

They were all mercenaries.

That whole scene did not look either "civil" or "polīte-ia" to me except for what the civilians filming (policing) the engagement were doing and saying.

So who were the "police?"

The military and paramilitary, or the civilians who were there policing the activity with cameras and words of law (jurisdiction)?

Were the military and paramilitary engaged in a "police" activity (policy, politia, policie, polīteia) or a military engagement?

Did that look "civil" or "martial?"

Is martial engagement on unarmed civil population "abusive?"

I could recommend an open-minded viewing of Tupac Shakur, Thug Angel in which he points out (closely paraphrased if not exact):

"The police is a gang, the army is a gang, where do you think we got all our 'gang' sh*t from?"

Thanks for yur comment. I have been posting the video on carious other boards and the feedback varies greatly I suppose depending on the degree of conditioning of the people watching.

"That was not abuse of power the cops were acting civilly"

I was afraid to replay to this but at some risk I will submit my opinion. “The police is military arm of an organized crime ring known as the state.” Even though they sometimes solve crimes and enforce laws, too often they enforce crimes, violate civil rights and rob people.

Okay, now what?

Don't tell me we haven't seen this before. What is to be done about it?

I'll go first. People in the community have to be trained to properly identify cops who do this. Not just rely solely on it being video taped, even though that's very good too. Take down names and badge numbers and come together. And definitely don't rely too much on the phony community activists and b***s***ing politicians because they're gonna lead you on another off-the-wall march to try to cool-out the situation while fooling people that they're really doing something.

Plus, take evidence of video tapes like this one and the one where the guy who got tazed just for asking Kerry tough questions to people like Hillary and[ Obama for their reaction. Put them on the spot and let's see what they're really about.

The thugs who started the shoving match should be terminated from the department and brought up on assault charges! Letters of reprimand should be issued to any supervisors that were on the scene. This isnt police work...this is thuggery!

And the moron cops wonder why folks wanna cap 'em on the street! I dont shed one tear over dead cops for that reason, they dont really help anyone other than the corporate state. They are the enemy of honest people everywhere.
