Look, if the admins have a problem, just come out and tell the people. The download section is gone. Am I right? If I am not, then tell us. Just say, sorry folks, all the files are still there. I don't think you can and be truthful about it. Why else would the actual buttons to down load anything not work.

Sure it's kind of interesting to pop in and read a thread or two, but other than that, eh...

I think the only way a download works now is if it is listed in the actual post. Going directly to the downloads section is a pointless endeavor. I guess telling or reminding anyone about it just gets your posts deleted.

The problem doesn't go away when you delete my posts. But, if it makes you sleep better. So be it.

Just remember, I have even tried to offer my help in fixing the site. I wasn't asking for a job, never wanted it, but I did want a functioning site for everyone that visits or might visit in the future. Without the files, most of the posts are pointless with out good material to look and learn from.

I have also never said people shouldn't come to this site or offer up a better site for people to go to. Never will, its not the proper way of doing things. Although, either is just deleting posts about the sites non-functionality. How do I know that it was deleted, because I have emails with the latest replys to the string...

Good job Admins, pretty soon, that rug your trying to sweep everything under is going to be to much to handle.

This site is a good site but yes, it does have some serious problems, the download section does not work properly, in fact I can't even post a new topic which u can! I can reply to others but that's it...

The download section hasnt been operational since shortly after LRG took over the forum. Its not gonna happen either since that material competes with LRG's online store!

in the transition to a new server and discussions with a former admin.... some of the items were not properly copied.

I was going to add, that it could have been an issue of copy -rights. A real can of worms there. "Money, root of all evil", would still apply.

Powder, I guess we can safely concluded that the files will never be recovered? Is there any reason why one couldn't upload new files, possibly? And get rid of the files that are sitting there tormenting those of us who would love to get our hands on? Thanks (maybe?).

I guess I understand now. LRG is the root of the death of this site as anything REALLY useful.

If your not going to fix them, get rid of them. Re do the whole site if your going to continue a good forum.

I run a few forums, it wouldn't be that difficult. This whole monkey business of shady workings simply screams the integrity of LRG and now SJ. I came to this site and at the time it was great. I learned a lot. Now, I only learn how NOT to run a forum.

If it is business, then let your user base know it. Simply put, why would I want to do business with LRG now?

Just poor form felas, and it's sad that something so great can be ran by people of such little stature.

I don't know who deleted it, all I know is that it was. It doesn't really matter what was deleted, just the fact that it was speaks volumes.
