Steel,

Moderators have the ability to ban members and delete posts and that's about it. I haven't see hide nor hair of the webmaster around here in a very long time. Altho Im sure weishaupt has contacted them, I dont think they have any intention of fixing the download section. Yer just gonna have to learn to deal with it or move on!!

Im happy to hear someones at least listening,
the fixes dont require much, very little actually, which is why I am so puzzled about why they arent repaired.

weishaupt1776,

farmer_giles_of_ham has presented the remedy.

Empower people by teaching them how to use their ignore list and free your self from the burden of policing the forums.

Draft a short tutorial and simply direct people to it when they seek a ban.

You have MUCH more important things to do then be used and manipulated by hateful vindictive anti-free speech types of people, and the people participating here already have the tools to filter out things they do not want to see.

I run an Internet Relay Chat on irc.freenode.net (#politics) and have dealt with that type of crap for like 4 years now. I rarely ban anyone (like 3 people in 4 years), and only for things that the "ignore" features of the Internet Relay Chat Client software can't deal with.

Power to the People = Knowledge of the tools they already have in their hands to solve their problems.

Much Love,

Christopher Theodore: Rhodes

P.S.

In the end... listen to your Self rather then any of us. ;-)
