Paging other online members
I was wondering if there was a way to page another user who is online at the same time you are. Can you open up a chat window with them?

No, but you can view a list of online members at the bottom of the main page: http://forum.suijuris.net/
You can then click their username and add them to your buddy list or send them a PM.

Speaking of contacting other members, how can I find out who lives near me? (San Diego) I'd really like to accompany another sovereign in court or whatnot.

I will soon be adding some chat features that will be built right in to the forums.
Untill then, you should all get AOL instant messanger, or Yahoo instant messanger - you can then enter your chat profiles in your account in your user CP:
http://forum.suijuris.net/profile.php?do=editprofile
Then, you can go to the use the "Who's online" option inthe forum options menu to see who is online:
http://forum.suijuris.net/online.php
If they have entered their chat details, you will be able to check click the instant messaging option next to their screenname and open a chat with them.
It is that simple... so, everyone interested in chatting, pick a popular chat program (or more than one) and enter your screename(s) into your profile in your user CP.

You should use the "member list" under forum options at the top of the page.
Edit your profile under to include your state name:
Example: South Carolina, SC (so your account will be found either way the search is entered.
You can then search for members in your by going to Members > Advanced Search.
http://forum.suijuris.net/memberlist.php?do=search
You can then specify the state to seach for - and only matching results will be displayed.

Poll: Which Instant Messager To Use?
A number of members are showing interest in being able to chat with other members online.
So, we should decide on a defacto instant messager so we can all hook up easily.
So, cast your vote and we shall see which is the most popular chat client.

Sui,
I read your post bout the Voice software. Cool Stuff.
I don't use any of the IM products, but have used MS NetMeeting in the Past. It is cool because you can voice & video chat, type, have a white board, and transfer files to each other while on video chat.
Don't know if there is a need for that. Don't know if your new post addresses that issue. If it does Great. I'll find out when I get to their web site. If it doesn't and we have a need for the file transfer, whiteboard, etc. Netmeeting might be an option.
