Re:Just a thought. Possible new forum.
No offense taken, Henry.
Fact is, you are right on the mark concerning 'most' doctors.
Unfortunately, it is really not their fault. It is the fault of their educational process and the 'big pharmaceutical money machine' that drives the whole health (sic) industry.
I find most doctors to be fine, dedicated people who are usually frustrated with the knowledge and training they have been given. They want to do the best that they can for their patients, they just don't have the keys to health because they were never offered to them. Their training is in 'disease' not health. If they can't drug it to death or remove it with a knife, they are usually at a loss for any other alternative approaches.
The Creator gave us a 'survival' mechanism that constantly adapts and compensates for its' environment (internally and externally). This mechanism will literally allow the organism to eat itself alive in order to continue life. This is the study of health. When all cells are functioning at their optimal genetic potential (barring genetic deficency), there is health. When the organism fails at its attempts to adapt and compensate, there is disease.
I am delighted that you have found your adaptive response by improving your nutrition. I also find nutrition (the chemical component) to be one of many aspects of health that require attention. However, just as there are 'no silver bullets' in our quest on this forum, there are also none in health. All pieces of the health puzzle must be addressed. Perhaps yours was this 'chemical' aspect. Another's might be the 'structural', while another may be the mental/emotional.
I've rambled on long enough for now, but you opened this so I figured that I'd contribute my 2 cents worth and let you also know that no offense was taken.
Perhaps a thread on nutrition or maybe health in general would be of assistance to those members who might be so inclined to avail themselves of it. My vote would be 'Yea'!
Good Health,
Doc
