New feature - live chatroom
At the request of some of the users, I have added a chatroom for suijuris members to share in realtime.
Here is the link http://www.suijuris.net/main/suijuri....php?page=chat
Just enter a chatname, for example, your suijuris.net username, and click connect. You may need to download a progam call Java 2 in order to open the chatroom. If anyone has trouble with the chatroom feature please post questions here, and I will address them when available.
There is another thread regarding chat night, members should go there to organize times to chat. If any good information is provided, I encourage you to post it in the forums after the chat session so there is a permanent, searchable record for everyone's benefit.
My screenname in the chatroom will be "suijurisnet", hope to see you there soon!

Once you enter the chat area, just type the following in like you are sending a message:
/msg nickserv register PASSWORD EMAIL@EMAIL.COM
Where PASSWORD is your desired password
Where EMAIL@EMAIL.COM is your email addy
You can login in the future by typeing the following once you enter the chat area:
/msg nickserv identify PASSWORD
Where PASSWORD is your password

Hi All..
If you have been experiencing major lag with the java applet (java2)..
You can connect to the chat server directly with any irc chat client such as:
ircN - www.ircn.org
Mirc - www.mirc.com
These clients are much more efficient and allow for much greater control of your chatting experience... including:
private chatrooms..
chatrooms keys or invite only...
attendance limits
encryption
file exchange (DCC) and more...
I am creating a tutorial on how to set up the client and will make it avalable as soon as possible...
If you are familiar with ircN and chatrooms and would like to run a Bot, please PM me...

Akira has been kind enough to offer a chatroom download with a client (kinda like ICQ or AOL IM) and instructions for the suijuris chatroom, if you do not want to use the Java version linked to above:

Ircle 3.1 & Snak 4.9.x are the two most popular clients for Macs, but I lack copies of either...
They are available on the net as shareware.
