One whacky idea

Hi All,

It's been more than clear, that there has been a good deal of stress and anxioty floating around the forum, and every once in a while, someone pops and let's the frustration fly.

How about having an "anonymous" account, where the password is either published only in the members section, or is unnecessary altogether.

Have admin set up the account so it can only post in one section... a spout off / anonymous post only section, where members can get something off their chest and out in the open, while still remaining anonymous.

Mind you... all posts, even under the anonymous account, can always be traced to the original poster, by admin and moderators... so posting purely for the sake of abusing another member, would still not be tolerated...

It might be a good way to address issues, that might not otherwise be shared..

Perhaps just a test run, for starters...

What say you?

For HIS Glory,
Akira

I don't like the idea. But then I am one of the few people who posts under his true given name. People already have a handle to hide behind. I would not bother reading to a bunch of ventilating, anonymous blurts; much less responding to them.

I would say the intention is good but ultimately this may be problematic in terms of security, moderation and maintanance. Our current way of doing things is just fine IMHO. If anyone has something to say either post it, send the admins a PM or email us. I'm still open to suggestions though.

I agree, the long run is going to be a problems for for the users, why change it. I like the way it's right now.

yeah... I can't say I gave the idea a whole lot of thought... it was more of a whim, spurred by a post by someone in Jerseee's most recent thread.

Sometimes.. everyone is thinking the same thing... everyone wants change.. but no one speaks up, for fear of looking like a bit of a jerk. lol

Then when someone's patience ends, we learn everyone else, felt exactly the same way.. and everyone wonders what took so long.. lol

Then again... if you make it too easy.. there's always somebody that will abuse it..

oh well.. no harm in asking
